Question by Cory: Is it really possible that recovering from cocaine abuse can cause narcolepsy?
Im 18 years old and have around 2 1/2 years off drugs and alcohol, i was diagnosed with Hyper-somnia after taking a sleep study, which tells me that i sleep to much. I have also had doctors say i am borderline narcoleptic and after several trial and errors i was prescribed vyvanse which works wonders.

After searching for related sites or articles over cocaine abuse being linked to narcolepsy i could find nothing.

I didn’t find narcolepsy. Rather disturbed sleep with unpleasant vivid dreams, Depression and ADD have been mentioned.
I think pretty long time has gone by and you won’t have any problem from withdrawal now.
congrats for a successful recovery and all the best!
