Signs of Cocaine: Tasers More Likely to Kill Cocaine Addicts

Today’s cocaine news roundup starts off with a story about tasers — the popular torture weapon of choice in law enforcement circles.

Sure, we’ve all seen victims of tasers gyrating on the ground as if having seizures, then they’re dragged up in a state of confusion.

The problem is MANY DON’T GET UP. They die because of the combination of the drugs in their system (cocaine and others) and the electric shock, along with the extremely agitated state. The already over-taxed heart and other internal organs can’t handle it.

The cops, of course, justify their actions by claiming the suspect was violent and a danger to himself/herself or others, so they pull out the taser. What’s next? Cattle prods?

Cops and Tasers: ‘The addict would have died anyway’

“The most powerful non-lethal weapon.” So they say. In fact, some casualties have occurred using this device, but they blame it on the circumstances. Like: “…the drug addict would have died from a heart attack anyway,” (because of the drugs in his body at the point of attack). Better to use the right fighting technique than a questionable weapon.
